BLOOD BATH?!!!!

Jessica Kates

TAKING A BATH ON YOUR PERIOD!!! NO WAY!

Well yes way! Let’s go ahead and debunk the myth, you can and should take a warm bath while on your period. Here’s why:

  • Heat brings blood flow to your pelvic area that helps relax those muscles that cause pain. This muscle relief is the same way as using heating pad to help your cramps.

  • Cleanliness: bathing more during this time is definitely good hygiene practice. Tip: shower first so you aren’t laying in prolonged dirty water.

  • Odor: Menstrual cycle blood is alkaline kinda smells like metal and this is due to iron levels in blood, add some Sacred Yoni Oil to your water, this also helps with pH balance.

  • Bath Salts: Epsom salt, magnesium, and a himalayan salt blend with essential oils help with cramps! Try our Sacred Cycle Bath salts and Sacred Cycle Oil to help tremendously!

.

Ok so I know, I know! Some of you are saying it’s no way I want to bathe and have period blood in my bath water! Well……… here’s where the law of physics applies. The pressure of the water can make it so the blood doesn't actually flow out of the vagina, you may experience a little leakage, or none at all, every woman is different. You may wear a tampon while in the bath tub, just make sure you change it when you get out. Our cycle is not a punishment, we are women that create life which makes us powerful!

We are not meant to suffer pamper yourself, grab your comfy clothes, a hot mug of Sacred Yoni Tea and unwind.
